Winners of the Black Forest Foundation and IDB Contest.

This contest was promoted by the Maná Group (Mexican Rock Band), its Selva Negra Foundation, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), to choose the official video clip of the song Where will the children play?, that was born under the premise that it is time for the world to start questioning itself about that same question. It was there that a group of five audiovisual producers in alliance with Higuera Studios saw an opportunity to show the situation that the Wayúu community is experiencing in La Guajira region in Colombia.

Thousands of people participated during months of said call, Countries such as Paraguay, Uruguay, Mexico, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, among others. All contributed their creative work through the video clips that were applied and others supporting their effort on social networks.

 

LA PRODUCCIÓN:

The group of filmmakers for the video clip was made up of Andrés Felipe Berrío, director, director of photography, and editor; Daniela Estrada Assistant Director and Art Director; Johana Sánchez of production; Juan Rojas photography assistant and John Higuera production and art assistant.


In addition, the support of John Navas and his producer Luzalma Films who trusted us and supported us with audiovisual equipment to record with the best quality.

The objective:

The main premise of the video is a passage from the current time where there is nature and children playing, to a future that La Guajira is already experiencing, where children no longer play but instead seek resources to survive.

In our video, pollution has taken over everything and you can hardly breathe anymore. In search of drinking water, Max, our protagonist, finds hope when he sees a plant grow again.

The Incentives:

In addition to direct recognition by the Mexican band by declaring the video clip as the official one for their song, the winner will have the opportunity to be present at the 'Idear Soluciones' event organized by the Inter-American Development Bank and which took place next October 4 in the city of Washington, DC.
